Itinerary

Arrival at Kochi airport OR Ernakulam (South or North) railway station. Our driver will meet you and proceed to your hotel. On arrival at check-in at your hotel. If time permits then proceed for Kochi sightseeing or else day at your leisure.  Overnight stay at Kochi hotel.


About Kochi: Kochi (also known as Cochin) is a city in southwest India's coastal Kerala state. Kochi is also called "Queen of the Arabian Sea".  It has been a port since 1341 when a flood carved out its harbour and opened it to Arab, Chinese and European merchants. Sites reflecting those influences include Fort Kochi, a settlement with tiled colonial bungalows and diverse houses of worship. Cantilevered Chinese fishing nets, typical of Kochi, have been in use for centuries.


Kochi places of visit: Marine Drive (Picnic spot, Kochi harbour boating available on direct payment basis), LuLu International Shopping Mall (largest shopping mall in India 10 AM to 11 PM). Santa Cruz Basilica (Built by the Portuguese and elevated to a Cathedral by Pope Paul 1V / 10:30 AM to 1 PM / Friday closed), Jewish Synagogue (Opened in 1568, oldest active synagogue in the Commonwealth of Nations / 10 AM to 12 PM & 3 PM to 5 PM, closed on Fri, Sat & Jewish holidays), Mattancherry Palace is also known as Dutch Palace (Build by Portuguese in 1555 / 9:45 AM to 1 PM & 2 PM to 4:45 PM, closed on Fri & Sat), Aspinwall House (10 AM to 6 PM), Chinese Fishing Nets (6 AM to 6 PM), St. Francis Church (Originally built in 1503, is the oldest European church in India. Gravestone of Vasco da Gama is also seen), Indo-Portuguese Museum (9 AM to 1 PM & 2 PM to 6 PM / Monday closed), Shopping at Kochi.


After breakfast, checkout from the hotel and proceed to Kumarakom. On arrival, check-in at your hotel. If time permits then proceed for Kumarakom sightseeing or else day at your leisure. Overnight stay at Kumarakom hotel.

About Kumarakom: The place is famous for its backwater stretches and paddy fields. Kumarakom is set in the backdrop of Vembanad Lake which is the largest freshwater Lake in Kerala. Kumarakom is a place surrounded by many islands of Vembanad Lake. It’s filled with natural pulchritude and ambience which is matchless in every sense. Kumarakom is also the home for various sprawling ethnic waterfront resorts that offer comfortable accommodation and exclusive leisure options like Ayurveda massage, yoga, meditation, boating, fishing and swimming.


Kumarakom places of visit: Bay Island Drift Museum (10 AM to 5 PM / Monday closed), Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary (6 AM to 5 PM).
